Coletta Vasilopoulos, 96, passed away peacefully August 23, 2013.
She was a Deputy Clerk at Akron Municipal Court retiring after 32 years of service. Coletta was a very active member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, the Good Samaritans and the Philoptochos Society.
Preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Stella Vasilopoulos; sisters, Mary, Margaret Goumas; brother, James; sister in law, Marcella; survived by sisters, Sophie and Pauline Vasilopoulos; brother in law, Andrew Goumas; nephew, Theodore Goumas; niece, Yvonne (Dave) McLaughlin; great niece, Alison McLaughlin; and a very loving and caring God daughter, Michele D'Avello; and many other special friends. A special thank you to all the Akron General Hospice staff for their loving care given to Coletta. We also want to thank the caring hands of Hospice of VNS volunteers.
Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 27th at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., with Fr. Andrew Lentz officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron with a Trisagios service at 7 p.m. If desired, memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund or Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Trust Fund. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
