D. Louise Shaffer

D. Louise Shaffer, 88, joined her husband June 12, 2015. She passed at her daughter's home in Georgia.

Born in Alliance, she lived in Ohio most of her life. She was the matriarch of her family, was a devoted wife and mother and her family always came first. She resided in Tennessee until her husband, Lester Shaffer, Jr. passed in 2013 and then resided with her daughter in Georgia. Louise was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Eleanor Helfin; survived by children, Brian (Nancy), Darrell, David, Denise (Mark) Weese, Debra (James) Ward, Eric (Ann), Christopher (Danise), and Pam (Evert) Flatt; 42 grandchildren; numerous great- and great- great- grandchildren; siblings, Jeanne Brumbaugh, Patricia (Paul) Shook, Laura Hodgkinson, Bruce (Mitzi) Hodgkinson, Kathy Long, and Michael (Bobbie) Hodgkinson.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. SATURDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on FRIDAY at the funeral home.
