Dan Floasin
Dan Floasin, 91, passed away March 20, 2009.
Born and raised in Akron, he was a lifelong resident. Dan worked under Eisenhower at the Pentagon during World War II, was the first president of the Humane Society of Greater Akron, and had been in sales for Timken and Chemstress. A former member of the Romanian Orthodox Church, he was a member of the First Congregational Church of Akron.
Preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Maria Floasin; he is survived by his wife, Janet of Akron; niece, Sally and nephew by marriage, Richard Leslie Shroyer.
Services will be held 11 a.m. MONDAY at the First Congregational Church of Akron, 292 E. Market St., with Dr. Jay Marshall Groat and Rev. Duane K. Angel officiating. Private interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Church Monday from 10 to 11 a.m.
