David Jordan Clinton, 81, passed away January 22, 2012.
He was born October 23, 1930 in Akron, Ohio to Luke and Julia Clinton. A lifelong resident of Akron, he graduated from Buchtel High School and The University of Akron where he was an active member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Dave served as a navigator in the U.S. Air Force. His love of flying led him to a private pilot's license and many enjoyable hours in the air. Dave served on the Foundation Board of Akron General Medical Center and The American Heart Association .
Dave is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janisse; son, David, Jr. (Angela); and daughter, Kathleen (Tim) Mozik; grandchildren, Luke and Sylvia Clinton and Makenzie and Meredith Mozik.
Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Road, on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Church service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at The Bath Church, U.C.C., 3980 W. Bath Road, Akron, 44333. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Akron General Medical Center Foundation, 400 Wabash, Akron, OH 44307; American Heart Association , 3505 Embassy Parkway, Akron, OH 44333; or Bath Fire & Rescue, 3864 W. Bath Road, Akron, OH 44333.
