David A. Wiedie

David Wiedie passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born September 12, 1955 in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late David A. Wiedie and Eleanor (DeLong) Wiedie. Dave is a graduate of Firestone High School, Denison University and Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.

Dave had many passions over the years. His most recent passion was local/seasonal food. He spent hours in his backyard garden, volunteered at Countryside Conservancy's farmer's market and his license plate reads, "FRM2TBL."

In addition to his mother, Eleanor, David is survived by his wife, Beth Hemmelgarn and her children, Alex and Daniel Fioritto. His former wife, Nancy Wiedie and their children, Robbie Wiedie, Kate (Joe) Durante, and Jack Wiedie. His sister, Susan (Shannon) Gregson and nephew and niece, J.D. and Katy.

David's presence on this earth will truly be missed. He was a proud, loving father and an adoring husband.

Per his specific wishes, the family will be receiving friends and family in Dave and Beth's home at 2534 St. Francis St. Akron, 44333 Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 2-8pm. Dave is being cremated and his ashes are to be spread in his garden. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
