Dean Charles Prosperi, 69, died June 7, 2016 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Born February 4, 1947 in Akron to Amos and Lela Marcey, he was a graduate of Firestone High School and the University of Akron. Dean had been a patrolman for the Akron Police Department and had worked for the Summit County Engineer's Department. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of V.F.W. Post 349 and St. Luke's Anglican Church in Copley.
Preceded in death by his father, Amos Marcey; he is survived by his wife, Sue Prosperi; children, Kathy Wallace (Chris Perrera), Shelly Cmunt (Greg Marburger) and Matthew Green (Joanna Green); grandchildren, Morgan, Bryce, Chance, Sophia, MacKenzie and Landon; mother and father, Lela and Anthony Prosperi; brothers, Michael Prosperi and Milton (Lori) Prosperi; sister, Mary (John) Outten.
A celebration of Dean's life will be held 1 p.m. SATURDAY at St. Luke's Ministries. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Private Inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
