Debra Ann Nelson

Debra Ann Nelson, 65, died Feb. 17, 2018 at her residence in Davis, CA where she lived for many years.

She was born in Akron and was a 1970 graduate of Copley High School. Debbie had a huge heart, was very nurturing and always doing for others.

Preceded in death by parents, Donald and Jeanne Nelson; nephew, Adam Wilson; and brother-in-law, Karl Hoffman; she is survived by longtime companion; Wallis Koontz, sons, Jeffrey (Kathy), David (Jessica), Jason (Brigitte) and Justin (Olivia) Schlosser; grandchildren, Davis, Karly, Kyle, Tracy Jeanne, Jaidan, Ava, and Arlo; and was a kind and loving sister to Jeff, David (Susie), Julie (Ray), Jill, Dede (Kurt) and Drew. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Evan, Chase, Erin, Kristin, Kyle, Katey, McKenzie, and Alexandria, great nieces and nephews, as well as aunt and uncle, Betty and John Dalton and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. with Rev. Jean Hansen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 hours before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Child Guidance of Akron. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
