Debra R Yurgen

Debra R. Yurgen answered God's call for an angel on Sunday, January 15, 2017.
She was born on September 30, 1957 in Elkton, MD. Debbie's family moved to this area during her early childhood where she became a lifelong resident and an extensive traveler. Friends will remember her for her love of flowers, gardening, interior design, all things French, vintage goods, food and wine, her beautiful home, travel and of course her life-long companion and husband Bill, her rescue Golden Retriever and her cat.
Business associates who almost always became close friends will remember her as a woman with tremendous drive, energy, creativity and sense of purpose. Her career included being a Senior Buyer for both Revco and Gray Drug Fair retail chains, Director of Marketing at Harris Wholesale and at Imperial Home Décor Group, N. American Sales Director for BlueMountain Wallcoverings and Sales Director at Brewster Home Fashions. During her career, Debbie earned numerous awards and accolades but her greatest satisfaction came by mentoring young women in business. Debbie knew no glass ceilings and encouraged all young business people to bring their "A-Game" and "Go for it!" As one friend commented - "The world is a smaller place without Debbie."
She leaves behind her loving husband, Bill; brother, Ted Marcum; sister, Ginny Thornsbury; and mother, Betsy Baragry. She will be dearly missed by all.
Services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. David Loar officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-7 p.m. Monday. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Medina County SPCA or the American Cancer Society. Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
