Delbert Hanna

Delbert P. Hanna, 69, passed away October 27, 2018 in Cuyahoga Falls.

He was born in Meadville, PA and after moving to Akron, graduated from Ellet High School. He served in the U.S. Army and later obtained a Juris Doctorate from the Marshall School of Law at CSU. Delbert was an employee of the State of Ohio and retired after 32 dedicated years of service. He was also a lifelong member of the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281.

He is preceded in death by parents, Delbert and Christine (nee McMuldren) Hanna, and is survived by his life partner, Cevan Sobeck; three sons, Andrew, Nicholas (Isobel), and Patrick (Sarah); daughter, Nicola (Matt) Smith; grandchildren, Abby, Jacob, Joshua and Dylan; brother, Bob (Jane); sister, Sue (Barry) Rau; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 12 PM on SATURDAY November 3 at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd Street. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281, 1601 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. (Billow FALLS Chapel)
