Delores passed away on October 24, 2022, two days ahead of her husband of 68 years, Paul, who passed away on October 26, 2022.  Both were together in Hospice Care preceding their deaths.

Delores is survived by her son Eric J Porosky, her grandchildren Parker J Porosky and Sara Elizabeth Porosky.  Delores was preceded in death by her daughter in law Gail Ann Porosky.

Delores lived and grew up in Springfield Township, Coventry and Portage Lakes.  She was a graduate of Coventry High School, class of ‘50.  Delores worked as a secretary at Firestone Tire and Rubber in Akron.

Delores met her husband Paul in July of 1954, they eloped to Alton, Indiana after just two weeks of dating and they were married 68 years.  They were together holding hands and watching TV in Hospice the Sunday prior to her death on Monday, Paul died two days later on Wednesday.  Lives shared until the end and well lived.

Delores was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake and take care of her loved ones.  Delores was an avid reader and absolutely loved playing bridge, she had a deep competitive streak.

Delores will be remembered for the love she showed her family and friends along with her fierce sense of independence, which was magnified as she grew older.

Delores’ cremated remains will be buried alongside her husband Paul’s on Friday, November 11 in a closed family ceremony.
