Demetrios Vasilatos, 84, passed away December 31, 2011.
He was born in Cephalonia, Greece and had lived in Akron since 1970. Mr. Vasilatos worked as a chef his whole life and retired from the Brown Derby in 1986 and was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
He was faithfully married to his wife, Angeliki since February 8, 1958, who survives him; he is also survived by sons, Mike Wendy, and Constantine Tami; grandchildren, Angelika, Olivia and Zander Demetre; and brother, Spiros Niki Vasilatos and cousin, Jerry Papas.
Services will be held 11 a.m. WEDNESDAY, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., with Rev. Fr. Jerry F. Hall officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., TODAY from 6 to 8 p.m., with Trisagion Service at 7 p.m.
