Dennis Andrew Vrabel, 64, died Nov. 6, 2014.
A life resident of Akron, he was a graduate of Copley High School and was a Vietnam veteran. Denny worked at Portage Country Club where he had many friends. He knew no strangers and had a heart of gold.
He is survived by parents, George and Dorothy Vrabel; brother, Charles (Elaine) Vrabel; sisters, Janet (Phil) Shearer and Georgene Vrabel; nephews and niece, Michael (Jen) Vrabel, C.J. Shearer and Amanda Shearer; and great nephews, Tyler and Carter Vrabel.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., where friends may call one before services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
