Diane Lee Schaub, 73, died at home surrounded by her loving family July 11, 2009.
Born in Wheeling, W. Virginia, she graduated from Triadelphia High School where she was the 1954 homecoming queen. Diane worked under the tutelage of her father, Charles Rahr, for several years at the Wheeling News Registery as a journalist.
She married Robert G. Schaub in 1962 who preceded her in death in March 2009 after 47 years of marriage.
She is survived by her son, Robert; daughter, Tara; daughter-in-law, Tracy; granddaughter, Alexis; brother, Donald Rahr and many nieces and nephews.
She was beloved by all, with her greatest passion being raising her children. She had a special place in her heart for animals.
There are no services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 4904 Quick Road, Peninsula 44264.
