Dicki Alexiou, 55, passed away December 20, 2012 after a short illness.
Born in Elizabethton, Tenn., she lived most of her life in Ohio. Dicki attended OSU where she met her husband, Dr. Solon Alexiou. She was a member of the OSU Alumni Association, Akron Dental Auxiliary and a life member of Club Ed.
Preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Todd Spaulding, she is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Dr. Solon Alexiou; son, Kostas Alexiou of Denver, Colo.; daughters, Dr. Barbara Alexiou of Akron, Natalie Alexiou of Hudson; parents, Lee and Barbara Miller; brother, David Miller; sister, Dorothy Spaulding; sister-in-law, Margo Alexiou; nephew, Christopher Serfass; and Yia Yia.
Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 22nd at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron 44304, with Rev. Fr. Jerry F. Hall officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, where a Trisagion service will be held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dr. Anthony Retikas Scholarship Fund, 129 S. Union St., Akron, 44304.
