Donald R. Bartley

Donald R. Bartley, 80, passed away peacefully June 5, 2012.

Born in Alvordton, Ohio, he lived most of his life in Cuyahoga Falls. Donald retired from Michelin in 1995 after 35 years of service. He was a friend of the Cuyahoga Falls Library for numerous years. He was an avid fisherman, a woodworker, winemaker, a genealogist where he was a member of NEOCAG, he raised tropical fish and orchids, and loved NASCAR and football.

Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Susan; great friends, Hayes and Marlene Schideler; survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy; daughters, Mary (Brent) Weaver of Cuyahoga Falls, Ellen (Jack) VanCamp of Laguna Hills, CA, Gail (Greg) Harwell of Stow; grandchildren, Sara Whitman of San Francisco, CA, Joe Harwell of Stow, Maxwell VanCamp of Laguna Hills, CA; extended family, Ashley (Ben) Smith, Alissa Weaver, Emily (Jesse) Fronk, Addison Fronk all of Cuyahoga Falls; brother, Howard (Linda) Bartley of CA, sister, Betty Gerke of Fla; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 14th at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls with Rev. Sue Tinker officiating. Inurnment at Northampton Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of the Cuyahoga Falls Library, 2015 3rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
