Donald E. Winkelman, 92, died after a courageous battle with old age.
Mr. Winkelman retired from the Firestone Synthetic Division in 1982 and had served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater in World War II.
Preceded in death by his wife, Genevie; mother, Mary; father, Kenneth; siblings, Lois and Jack; stepson, Glenn; he is survived by his daughter, Claudette; granddaughter, Holly Dennis; great-granddaughters, Katie, Genna V. and Ashley; stepchildren, Lynette and Carl.
Services will be held Noon Tuesday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
