Donald E. Wise, 65, died March 24, 2012.
Born in Norwalk, he was a city councilman and served on the city planning commission before moving to Akron in 1985. A graduate of Tiffin University, Don was an avid golfer and a bowler on the Senior Traveling Bowling League. He worked for 35 years in the food industry currently working at R.W. Sauder, Inc.
Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Edna Wise; he is survived by wife, Marlene and daughter, Tracy (Jason) Hamilton.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, (corner of W. Market St. and Kenilworth Dr.) with Rev. Mark J. Pruitt officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of V.N.S., 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
