Donna LaRue Bailey Rudolph, age 87, died on January 13, 2012.
Born in DuBois, Pa. one of six children, to Howard and Elodie Bailey. She was a graduate of DuBois Business College and was employed at Brockway Glass Company, Brockway, Pa. prior to moving to Akron in 1947 following her marriage to Samuel Rudolph. Over the next 33 years she held various positions at B.F. Goodrich and retired in 1981 as Administrator, Company Contributions and Memberships, worldwide.
She was a long-standing member of Christ United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Red Hat Society. Gardening was her passion and she was a member of the former Fairlawn Garden-Club. She was also an active volunteer for the Women's Auxiliary of The Salvation Army.
Preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers, Howard Bailey Amelia, Willard Bailey Betty, Charles Bailey Nancy; sisters, Mildred Adamson Jim, and Nadine Ericson Robert. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Nancy Bailey, Wadsworth, Ohio and Betty Bailey, Home, Pa.
Her memory will be cherished by those who received her love and care as friends and as ``Aunt Donna' to niece, Lisa Ruppert-Dies David of Norton, their children Sean, Samantha and Abigail; nephews, J. Michael Bailey Kimberly of Akron, their children Eric, Emily and Nikolas, and Mark Bailey Dawn of Wadsworth, their daughters Hannah and Gabrielle. Many other nieces and nephews survive her in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Florida.
Services will be held at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Wendell officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service.
