Doris M Clark

Our beloved mother, Doris M. Clark, died Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center. She was 85 years old.
She is survived by her children, Julie Kay (Larry) Weigle and Renee Nist; her grandchildren, Jon (Clarice) Nist, Todd (Marliese) Nist, Katharine Weigle; and great-grandchilden, Everett, Ian and Elliot Nist. Also surviving are siblings, Clarence (Gail) Thompson, Delores Tomasik and Irene (John) Stouffer. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Jane Thompson; and siblings, James Thompson, Alberta Durbin, Thomas, Orie, Harry, Robert, Marvin, Norman and John Thompson.
Doris was a 1950 graduate of West High School. She was a charter member of West Hill Baptist Church where services will be held. Surviving charter members are Mr. and Mrs. Russell Beahn and Mrs. Charles Lane. She retired after 37 year's service at AGMC. She worked her way from Housekeeping to the Mail Room to Cashiers. She retired as supervisor in Patient Accounts.
She was a servant of God, volunteering for many aspects of her church. She volunteered for AGMC, Hospice, Haven of Rest and many others. She loved plants, playing Canasta, decorating for the holidays, reading and jigsaw puzzles.
Service will be held at West Hill Baptist Church, 605 N. Revere Rd., Akron, OH 44333, on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Visitation will be at 10 am with service at 11 a.m., Pastor Aaron Varner offciating. Burial at Glendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to West Hill Baptist Church.
