Doris Clay nee Dudich, 86, died July 5, 2011.
She was born on July 8, 1924, in Barberton, and lived her whole life in the Akron area, mostly in Bath Township. She taught French and Spanish in the Revere School District for many years and will be remembered by many as a dedicated teacher who was passionately interested in her discipline. However, she always maintained that her "greatest achievement" was her family.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Clay. She is survived by her children, Denise Ankudowich Stephen, David Clay Jan and Marilyn Stoney Paul;
grandchildren, Abigail Turner Aaron, Jonathan and Jennifer Clay, Michael, Elizabeth and Alexandra Ankudowich, Sierra and Corwin Stoney; and her beloved great-grandson, Ryan.
Her family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers at Akron General Hospital and St. Edward's Nursing Home for their care during the last few months.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
