Doris Underwood Logan

Doris Underwood Logan , 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 12 at her home with her daughters by her side.

Whether she was nurturing her vivacious garden or birdwatching from her patio glider, she took great joy in being outdoors.

Doris was a member of the Summit County Pharmaceutical Association Auxiliary, the Akron Woman’s City Club, and First Congregational Church of Akron. She was also an elevator girl at the downtown Akron O'Neil's department store.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Thomas; siblings John Underwood and Elsie Oldfield. She is survived by siblings, Jean McCurry and Jim Underwood; children, Thomas S. (Cheryl) Logan, Laura (Michael) Treml, Lizabeth (Steve) Phillips, and James (Pamela) Logan; grandchildren, Michael, Katherine, Andrew, Melissa, and Nicholas; and five great-grandchildren.

We would like to give special thanks to the Summa Hospice team for their support and care.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
