Doris Dean Patterson

Doris Dean Patterson, 95, died January 28, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Arthur E. (Pat) Patterson and her daughter, Tracy Patterson Bragg. Dean is survived by her sisters, Helen Redhair and Jane Willson of Denver, Colorado; her son and daughter-in-law, Arthur E. (Buzz) Patterson and Jeannette Patterson of Akron; her son-in-law, Thomas A. Bragg of Pueblo, Colorado; her grandchildren, Molly E. Lieb (Steve) of Boonton, New Jersey, Arthur E. (Pat) Patterson (Rachelle) of Denver, Colorado, Thomas A. (Al) Bragg (Jill) of Denver, Colorado and Jacob P. (Jake) Bragg (Misty) of Erie, Colorado. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Dean was born and raised in Limon, Colorado and after attending the University of Colorado, she married and moved to Akron where she spent more than 70 years. Aside from caring for her family, bridge and reading were her passions. She loved her life in Akron thanks in no small part to the extraordinary friendships of which she was so proud.
Burial will be next to her husband at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to any organization charged with the care of animals. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
