Doris Jeanne Sommers went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 1, 2009 at the Village at St. Edward.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and had been an Akron resident for 62 years and retired from First National Bank after 22 years service.
Preceded in death by husband, Walter A. Sommers to whom she was married 42 years; she will be dearly missed by daughter, Barbara J. Spike Moyer; grandchildren, Andrea Milani and Jason Moyer as well as companion and friend, Trudy Heck.
Services will be held 11 a.m. THURSDAY at the Billow FALLS Chapel corner of 23rd St. and Falls Ave. with Rev. Peter Mills officiating. Entombment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home WEDNESDAY 6 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 989 N. Portage Path, Akron 44313 or Bethesda Lutheran Home, 700 Hoffman Dr., Watertown, WI 53094.
