Dorothy Howland Morgan, 96, went home to be with the Lord and the family that preceded her in death on January 29, 2010.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., she grew up in West Hartford, Conn. She was a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and earned her MA in Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. Married to Vincent G. Morgan, the family moved to Akron in 1952, where she became active in the PTA and College Club. A member of Firestone Country Club for many years, she was an enthusiastic golfer and enjoyed a game of bridge with friends. She remained a loyal alumna of Mount Holyoke College, attending reunions and had served as a class officer. She was a member of the Akron Women's Club and Fairlawn West Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Morgan and daughter, Janet Moschetti; she is survived by her son-in-law, Paul Moschetti; grandsons, Morgan Wendy, Mark Michele, Brad Courtney Moschetti; great-grandchildren, Ada and Andrew.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron with Rev. David Loar officiating. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairlawn West Church, 2095 W. Market St., Akron 44313 or Life Care Fund, Rockynol, 1148 W. Market St., Akron.
