Dorothy June Vanhoosier

Dorothy June VanHoosier , age 86, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

She was born December 30, 1937, daughter of Amos and May Matter. Dorothy was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles, sudoku, and needlepoint. She enjoyed gardening and beautiful flowers. Dorothy made many trips to Canada and loved to travel.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Dave Matter.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Darrell VanHoosier; cherished daughters, Deborah (George) Martin, Kathy (Kevin) Carroll, Carol (Arland) Sweat, and Ginger (James) Goodsell; treasured grandchildren, Jason, Brent (Karen), and Robbie Ohse, Eric (Tara) Carroll, Stephanie (the late Jesse) Horn, Brian, Corbin (Emily), and Jordan Sweat, Jennifer (Andrew) Sublett-Quick, and Mason Sublett; great grandchildren, Jared, Brandon, Dorothy, Colin, Ryder, Eleanor, Maverick, Emmett, Derek, and Leon; loving sister, Fern (Clarence) Dietz; sisters-in-law, Pat and Veda.

Friends may call FRIDAY, March 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44333 where funeral service will commence at 1:00 PM. Interment immediately following in Northampton Cemetery.
