Dorothy Ann Zipay, 84, passed away October 16, 2013.
Born in Washington Co., PA, she had lived most of her life in Elyria. An active member involved in many aspects of St. John Lutheran Church in Elyria, she was a dedicated and loving homemaker who had owned Dorothy Ann's Catering.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Chester; son, James Chester and granddaughter, Kimberly Walton; she is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Nicholas Zipay; daughter, Deanna (Randall) Gauss; stepchildren, Nicholas, Mark, Ruth, Rebecca and Joel; grandchildren, Shawn and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Emma, Avery and Ashley; nine step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., TODAY from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and from 8 to 9 a.m. SATURDAY at Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W. Market St., Fairlawn, where the service will take place at 9 a.m. with Rev. Charles Lentner and Rev. Joel Zipay officiating. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 1140 West River Rd. N., Elyria, Ohio 44035.
