Douglas Grant, 98, passed away on May 29, 2021. He was born in Bo’ness, Scotland, to Alexander and Jane Grant. He arrived in America at the age of 7. His family settled in Donora, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Donora High School, Douglas was a Machinist Apprentice for American Steel & Wire Co., Donora, PA. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II and served as a radar technician. Following the war, he graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace Corp. after a 33 year career.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Claire; daughters Gill Grant & Valerie (Pete) Briggs; grandchildren, Maddie, Audrey, Griffin and Zach.
