Doyle S. Sloan, 71, died February 19, 2014.
Born in Akron, he had retired from Yellow Freight. With his wife Teddy, he traveled the world, set sail on a number of cruises and frequented many casinos.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Orpha; he is survived by his wife, Theodora "Teddy" Sloan; daughter, Olivia; son, Shannon (Stacy); three grandchildren and brother, Dale (Denise).
Services will be held 10 a.m. SATURDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Mark J. Pruitt officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home FRIDAY from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to One of a Kind Pets, 1929 W. Market St., Akron 44313. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
