Dr. Keith Daniel Bingham, DVM, passed away at his home in Marshallville, Ohio, on November 26, 2021, at the age of 71. Married nearly 50 years, he is survived by his wife, Sheri Bingham; two sisters, Frankie Danielle Buck (John) and Dr. Carol L. Bingham Kirby (Dr. Steven); three children, Kelly Bingham (Ashley), Kara Regan (David), and Kristin McGuire; and three grandchildren, Kamdin, Kynlie and Karter. Born in Akron, Ohio, to Daniel and Virginia Bingham on November 21, 1950, his parents instilled in him a strong work ethic at an early age.
As a boy, he started delivering newspapers in his neighborhood, eventually earning enough money to purchase his first car. After high school, he earned an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and his doctorate in veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University. In 1977, he returned to Akron and purchased an existing small animal hospital. Renamed North Hill Veterinary Hospital in 1980, today the veterinary practice is the oldest, privately held veterinary facility in the state of Ohio. A friend to all creatures great and small, Dr. Bingham exemplified the veterinarian’s oath to practice his profession “conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics.” Special gratitude to Terra Bordenkircher and his sister-in-law, Cathy L. Criss, for their decades of service working alongside Dr. Bingham at the veterinary practice and for their friendship.
