Edgar Crosley, 90, entered into eternal life March 31, 2010 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born in Parkersburg, W. Virginia on Dec. 27, 1919 to Catherine and Edgar Crosley, Sr. He graduated from Akron East High School in January 1938 and enrolled at The University of Akron where be became a member of R.O.T.C. Ed served his country during World War II and retired from the Ohio National Guard as a Lt. Colonel. He graduated from The University of Akron in 1950 as an electrical engineer and was employed by Goodyear Aerospace for 53 years. One of his greatest pleasures in life was singing. He began at age 9 with the Friars 1928 Review. He continued his stage career with the Barbershop Harmony Society until his death.
He leaves behind, his wife of 67 years, Billie; children, Kenneth Jannell Crosley, Jo Anne Peter Potok, Jan Wonnell, and Jean Jim Turley; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Elizabeth ``Peggy' Primm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail, with Fr. Thomas W. McCann officiating. Private interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. corner of 23rd St. and Falls Ave., 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
