Edith Marie Gist nee Phillips Filippi, 97, born January 23, 1912 in Lutie, OK, died February 9, 2009 in Akron, Ohio.
Preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Gist; her parents, Carlo and Caterina Filippi; brother, Lee Filippi and sister, Rita Anspaugh. She is survived by her sisters, Nelli Mickey Pianalto and Emma Harold Bujorian of Akron, OH. She leaves her daughters, Paula Jeffrey Malak if Lansing, IL, and Joan Gist Olson of Akron, OH; grandchildren, Michael AnneMarie Malak of Troy, NY., Kristen Jeffrey Lyons of Charlotte, NC and Christopher Tina Malak of Crete, IL; five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 10 A.M. MONDAY at Fairlawn Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles Lenter officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., SUNDAY from 2-6 P.M. and one hour before services MONDAY at church. Memorials may be made to Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W. Market St., Fairlawn 44333 Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel
