Edith F Greathouse (G.G.)

Edith F. Greathouse (G.G.) , 87, of Barberton, Ohio, passed away Feb. 24th, 2024 at home with her family at her side. She was born October 12, 1936 to parents Dempsey Bell and Millard Edman. She was one of 12 siblings and was a graduate of Manchester High School, class of 1954.

Edith was preceded in death by husband Arthur L. Greathouse, daughter Chris (Snyder) Kohawowicz, and granddaughter Elizabeth Snyder. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Becky Conway (Jack), Mark Snyder (Marie), Kim Mosyjowski (Joe), Matt Snyder (Paula), Jenny Spencer (Bob), Rich Kohawowicz (husband of the late Chris Kohawowicz), and stepson Larry Greathouse. Edith is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, the lights of her life: Amanda, David, Brandon, Venus, Ryanne, Wendy, Erika, Nik, Joan, Corey, Ryan, Kylie, Nicole, Jessica, and Richie. She was also blessed with 16 great grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy: Patience, Parker, Phoenix, Natalie, Stephen, Owen, Lucas, Christian, Penelope, Daxton, Kacen, Avery, Emberly, Addalyn, Owen, and Beckett.

No local services will be held at this time; Edith will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery with her late husband. A celebration of life memorial is planned, details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
