Edward Chapman Shoman, age 74 of Akron, OH passed away peacefully October 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Harriet Shoman; and one sister, Ada Mae Evans. He is survived by his niece, Melissa Evans of Greensboro, NC and her son, as well as cousins locally and in California.

He never stopped learning about the world around him and loved nothing more than finding yet another treasure at which to marvel. From an early age, going “antiquing” was an event that always brought out the sparkle in his eyes.
As a Process Development Chemist with Morgan Adhesives (Mactac) and Faro Technologies, Ed worked until his retirement in 2008. Edward served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He will be greatly missed by friends whose lives he touched and family alike.
