Edward C. Weber, 68, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
Born February 17, 1944 in Akron, Ohio, Ed was a graduate of Buchtel High School in 1962, attended The Ohio State University and earned his law degree from The University of Akron in 1971.
Ed spent nearly 40 dedicated years working within the legal community in Akron. Prior to going into private practice, Ed served as a former prosecutor and assistant Law Director for the City of Akron. Ed found his true calling as a unique Criminal Defense Attorney who fought tirelessly with his good heart for the benefit of his clients (and sometimes irritating a judge or two in the process). Ed was a proud member of the American, Ohio and Akron Bar Associations as well as the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). Ed was also an avid golfer, and loved to play tennis at the Towpath and Paramount Tennis clubs. He loved rooting for his Buckeyes, and always held out hope that one day Cleveland sports teams would return to glory.
Ed was preceded in death by his beloved son, Murray; parents, Margery and Phil Rogers, and Al and Isa Weber. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 13 years, Carol (CJ) of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, Grayce (Eugene) Paul of New York City; sisters, Penny Moretz of Alpharetta, GA, and Sandi Rogers of Santa Barbara, CA; brothers, Larry (Susan) Weber of Scottsdale, AZ, Charlie Weber of Canton, and Jeff (Kris) Rogers of North Canton; step-daughter, Annmarie (Jim) Schumacher of Mount Airy, MD; step-sons, Tim Hammontree of New Orleans, LA, and Mike (Christa) Hammontree of Cuyahoga Falls. "Grandpa Head" will especially be missed by his "granddaughters", Marissa and Madison Schumacher and Adrienne and Braewyn Hammontree.
