Edward T. Wisz, 93, passed away October 28, 2008.
Ed was raised in Cleveland and resided in the Cuyahoga Valley since 1959. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934 and went on to work until age 75 as a tool and die designer. Mr. Wisz was a longtime member of Bath Church U.C.C., an outdoorsman who loved the woods and a member of the Sons of Rest at the Peninsula Library.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond and Theodore and granddaughter, Sarah. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol; their daughters, Cynthia and Lauren; his daughters, Judith, Virginia, and Elizabeth; grandson, Kurt; granddaughter, Rebecca; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 12 noon Saturday at the Bath Church U.C.C. Chapel, with Rev. Mark W. Frey and Rev. James Cunningham officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial at Lakewood Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bath Church, 3980 W. Bath Rd., Akron 44333 or to a charity of one's choice.
