Eilene (Fought) Cole

Eilene (Fought) Cole, age 92, of Bath Township passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, November 6, 2015.
She was born November 21, 1922 as the only child to Delbert P. and Emma G. (Burnam) Fought, and lived in the Akron area her entire life. She graduated from Garfield High School and the University of Akron with a degree in Education. Eilene taught 4th grade at Sawyerwood Elementary School. In 1953, she married Charles Robert Cole and was his beloved and well respected wife for 62 years. She left teaching, raised three girls, and was a wonderful full-time wife and mother, who will be missed greatly. She loved flowers, gardening, sewing and animals, especially her cats. Eilene treasured her special 50-year relationship with her beloved friend and neighbor, Ruth Waickman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Bob, in March. She is survived by daughters, Gail Cole of Copley, Judy (Harry) Afram of Rockford, IL, and Donna Cole of Bath; three grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and friend, Ruth.
Graveside service will be held Friday, November 13, 2015 at 2 PM at Rose Hill Burial Park in the Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor John DeMund officiating. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
