E.J. "Bud" Marting

December 7, 1943 — August 28, 2013

E.J. "Bud" Marting, 69, died on August 28th, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Akron, Ohio and lived in Houston, Texas until 1969. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.H. "Bill" Marting and Betty Shaw. He was married to his devoted wife, Elsa, for 44 years. He is survived by his children, Mindy (Brad) Cvammen; Matthew (Jenny) Marting; his sister, Judy Hubenak; aunt, Dorothy St. Onge; cousin and business partner, Bill (Jinny) Marting; brother-in-law, Emiro (Margaret) Uribe; grandchildren; Megan and Ryan Cvammen and Adam and Alex Marting; several
cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was a Real Estate Broker for 42 years: co-owner of Marting Realty from 1969 to 1995, and then he worked for Cutler Real Estate until he retired in 2010. He held several board positions including being a Past President with Akron Area Board of Realtors, and having received the Realtor of the Year award from the Ohio Association of Realtors. Bud was a loving, caring man. He adored his family, especially
his grandchildren and pets. He was an avid reader and loved to renovate his homes. In his final days, he gave his life to Christ. His wishes were for you to give someone you love a hug today.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., where friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, P.O. Box 2090, Akron, OH 44398 or Stewart's Caring Place, 2955 W.
