Elaine E Schaedel

Elaine E. Schaedel, 86, of Akron, passed away peacefully in her home, August 28,2016.

Elaine was born August 7, 1930 in Cleveland OH to Harvey and Ethel Hoffman. She lived much of her life in Cleveland and was later a long term resident of Broadview Hts. Elaine had amazing faith and was an active member of Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church. What she loved the most was her family. Elaine was a caring mother and was the center of family life at her home. Every Sunday after church she would make pot-roast dinners and surround herself with family and loved ones. The friendships she made were lifelong.

Elaine will be deeply missed by her husband Elroy of 61 years; her children Linda (John) Reyes, Eileen (Chuck) New, and Richard (Susan) Schaedel; Grandchildren Michael and Matthew Schoolcraft, Maggie and Charlie New, Zackery Schaedel, and Sarah and Jack Reyes; and Great-Grandchild Micah Schoolcraft.

Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, September 3 at 11 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9201 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 with Pastor Randy O'Donnell officiating followed by a reception lunch at the church hall. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. A private family interment will be held at Hope Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church.
