Akron – Eleanor Bartoo passed away peacefully on February 2, 2023 with her children at her side. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James D. Bartoo, her sister Louise Turner, brother Jerry Forte, nephew Thomas Turner and great-grandson Michael Rhinehart.
She is survived by her daughter Janice (Floyd) Styer, her sons James Bartoo and David (Susan) Bartoo, grandchildren, Matthew (Kelly) Styer, Melanie Rhinehart, Ryan Bartoo and Sarah (Daniel) Wyman, her great-grandchildren, Ella Styer, Keith, Rebecca, William and Caitlin Rhinehart, and Norah Wyman and her great-great grandchildren Xavier and Jordan Parton.
Eleanor was an active member of Akron Court #5 Order of the Amaranth and Billow Chapter #483 Order of the Eastern Star and had recently received her 50-year pin in Billow Chapter. She knitted many hats and scarves for Billow Chapter that were donated to school children. She enjoyed making doll clothing for Barbies and American Girl dolls. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds and squirrels in her yard. Her favorite tv show was Lawrence Welk. She was also an avid stamp and coin collector for herself and her family.
Calling hour will be February 8, 2023 at Billow Funeral Home in Fairlawn at 10:30 A.M. followed at 11:30 A.M. by Eastern Star and Amaranth services, and services officiated by Reverend Sue Roseman followed by Committal service at Rose Hill Burial Park, her final resting place.
