Eleanor Rebecca (Sirota) Beck

Eleanor Rebecca (Sirota) Beck , 91, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 1, 1932, to the late Carl and Lucy Sirota.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Arthur, her brother, Andrew, and son-in-law, Dave Balint. She is survived by children, Shirley (Mike) Letta, Carl (Pam), Roy (Bobbi), Sharon Crace, and Mark; grandchildren, Michael (Lauren) and Eric (Leah) Letta, Carl Jr. (Leigh), Christina (Andy) McMullen, Chad (Laura), Brandon, Kelsey (Tommy) McCartney, Stephanie (Nate) Husak, Brian Crace, Kara (Chris) Pellegrene, and Mark Jr; also 8 great-grandchildren, sister Margie Pugh and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The most important things to Eleanor were her faith in Christ and the love for her family. She began playing the piano for church at age 12 and continued serving her Lord by playing both the piano and organ for over 50 years. She could also play the xylophone and accordion. She would still play an occasional song in her home with her grandchildren.

Eleanor enjoyed crocheting, reading, fishing, cooking, caring for her flowers, watching game shows and sports on TV, and receiving visits from the wonderful ladies’ group at Northwest Ave. Church of Christ. She loved to tease people and was always strong in facing life’s troubles. You never could leave her home without her trying to give you something. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. A special Thank You to all in ICU at Cleveland Clinic Akron General who cared for her.

Funeral service will be held at 3 PM on FRIDAY, December 29, 2023 at the Northwest Ave. Church of Christ, 737 Northwest Ave., Tallmadge 44278 with Pastor Scott Baker officiating. Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church starting at 1 PM. Private family burial at Hillside Memorial Park.
