Elizabeth Joy Cox

Elizabeth Joy (Boswell) Cox, 77, of Sharon Center, OH passed away on Oct. 26, 2017.
Joy, daughter of William Russell and Sarah Elizabeth (Fox) Boswell, grew up in Copley. She graduated from Copley High School and worked at Tastee Freeze. Thanks to Wayne and Elaine Asper for always saving a seat at the annual Christmas Party.

Joy was a kind and loving soul. Ever the homebody, she never missed an opportunity to whisk away a coffee cup or ashtray for cleaning (even if you weren't finished).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; sister, Florence "Weegie" Coffee; son, Billy; sister-in-law, Sue; brothers-in-law, Garlon "Junior" and Dick; nephews, Tim Boswell, Butch and Michael Swistok; and niece, Denise Swistok. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Amanda (Farkasofsky) Cox; daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and Soon Bach; grandchildren, Matthew, Shaun, Acacia, Falconn and Ione, as well as many loving family members and friends.

Special thanks to Medina County Home, especially Lynn and Chris, Evergreen Care Center, All Caring Hospice, Copley United Methodist Church, and loving friends, Chuck and Rachel for always visiting and sharing their home.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Don Upson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 1 hour before services. Interment at Copley Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Copley United Methodist Church for all who care to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Copley United Methodist Church, 1518 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Copley, OH 44321.
