Elizabeth "Betty" Lane
March 12, 1927 — February 20, 2015
Elizabeth "Betty" Lane, 87, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Feb. 20, 2015.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 12, 1927 and had lived in the Akron area since 1951.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Lane. Betty is survived by her children, Jim (Chris) Lane of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and Jan Lane of Marlow, New Hampshire; sister, Shirley Hull of Denver, Colorado; and brothers, Jack Blunden of Plymouth, Michigan and Bill (Gini) Blunden of Denver, Colorado and their families.
Betty was a member of West Hill Baptist Church since August 1975 and a volunteer in the gift shop at Akron Children's Hospital from September 1968 to March 2012.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at West Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Aaron Varner officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E.
