Elizabeth J. Logan

After a beautiful and long life of nearly 97 years, Elizabeth passed on July 16, 2014.

She was born November 17,1917 in Monongahela, Pa. and moved to Akron at a young age where she was a life-long resident. She was a graduate of St. Vincent High School and attended The University of Akron. A home maker and active community volunteer, she was a member of St. Sebastian Church, Stan Hywet Hall Women's Auxiliary Board, Children's Home Board, United Fund and Akron Woman's City Club.

Preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, George M. Logan and her daughter-in-law, Jean Pendray Logan; Elizabeth is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Logan Barton (Max) of Uniontown, Ohio; son, Dr. George M. Logan of St Paul, Minn.; grandchildren, Kate Logan (Dane Petersen) of San Francisco, Calif., Michael Logan of St. Paul, Minn. and grand dog, Beau Bear Barton of Uniontown, Ohio.

Elizabeth was a classy and feisty lady that lived life on her own terms. She loved bridge, the Cleveland Indians and her evening cocktail. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and care-givers.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. THURSDAY at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave. Private inurnment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call WEDNESDAY, 4 to 6 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, 714 N. Portage Path, Akron, OH 44303 or The Canton Museum of Art, 1001 Market Ave. N., Canton, OH 44702.
