Elizabeth Jane (Rennells) Speicher

Elizabeth Jane (Rennells) Speicher entered the church triumphant on May 13, 2020.She was born August 22, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA the only child of Edward J. and Marjorie M. (Mahaffey) Rennells. Elizabeth attended the University of Akron for 2 years and worked for Picker Xray, General Motors, Manpower and IBM as an Executive Assistant. She and her husband played bridge and loved square dancing for many years. She was active in the churches they attended and proud to be the co-founder of the Alluring Community Bell Choir in Lexington, KY. She served as President of Rotary Anns and PTA and enjoyed attending many garden clubs, Kentucky Transplants, Adventure Club and the Red Hat Society. Liz loved to travel, she and Charlie went to many Boy Scout reunions and conventions, vacationed with friends and Liz went to Europe with a Church group. Liz cherished her pets over the years, many cats, finches and especially her two dogs, Molly and Angel. She grieved the loss of her husband of 66 years, Charles M. Speicher, when he died in August, 2019. Surviving Elizabeth, loving mother, devoted grandmother and doting great grandma,  are; daughters, Cheryl Spahr and Kathryn Zamrzla (Daniel Barcy); grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jessica (nee Zamrzla) and Daniel Makuh, Abigail and Lauren Makuh; David and Elizabeth (nee Langenhop) Spahr, Avery and Penelope Spahr; Sarah (nee Spahr) and Andrew Margevicius, Aidan, Kyle and Norah Margevicius; Bethanne (nee Zamrzla) and Adam Gajewski, Emma and Samuel Gajewski; Alison (nee Zamrzla) and Nathan Carnes, Michael Carnes. The family would like to thank the staff at Mount Alverna Village in Parma for the gentle care of their mother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mount Alverna Village , 6765 State Rd. Parma, OH 44134. A memorial service for Elizabeth will be held at a later date when circumstances allow. Services in care of The Billow Funeral Homes & Crematory, 85 N. Miller Road, Akron, OH 44333
