Elizabeth "Bette" Warren(Neehammond)

Elizabeth (Bette) Warren (nee Hammond), 81, went home to meet her Lord and Savior March 29, 2012.

Bette was born in Clymer, Pa. on September 7, 1930 and was a former resident of Maple Heights and Twinsburg, Ohio. Bette was a registered nurse and loved her profession.

Preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Richard; her parents, Alex and Betty Hammond; brothers, Alex Jr. and Robert; and sister, Mae Buckles; Bette is survived by daughters, Patricia Dorsett (Kenneth), Salli Coleman (Jim) and Jill Hager (James "Bud"). Bette was a loving grandmother to Jared, Seth and Amy and great-grandmother to Aiden. She is also survived by her brother, Jim Hammond of Erie, Pa.; sister, Sande Staff of Orlando, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

Diagnosed in 2006 with Alzheimer's, the disease robbed her of most memories and cognitive abilities-it did not take away her spunky spirit or sense of humor.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the incredible, loving staff of Arden Courts in Bath, Ohio and Crossroads Hospice.

Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31 at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., where friends may call one hour before service. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 2110 W. 110th St., Cleveland 44102 or City Mission, 5310 Carnegie Ave., Cleveland 44103, which Bette was an avid supporter.
