Elizabeth A. (Libby) Basye

Elizabeth A. (Libby) Basye, nee Ashbrook, age 90, died January 24, 2021. Born on June 4, 1930 in Columbus Ohio, she lived in Akron since 1964.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William E. (Bill) Basye. She is survived by son Dan (Ida) of Columbus, OH; daughter Judy (Steve) of Gaffney, SC; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren with two more on the way, sister, Mary Louise Deubner of Columbus.

She placed her full faith and trust in Jesus Christ as her savior, and used her talents in her home, church and community to bless others.

Friends will be received by the family from 12-1 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Faith Bible Fellowship 126 W. Overdale Drive, Tallmadge, Ohio 44278. Funeral will follow at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 East Market Street, Akron, OH 44308.

Burial will take place at 11 AM on Friday January 29, 2021 at Union Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.
