Ellis Paige Solomon, Sr.
Ellis Paige Solomon, Sr., 87, passed away peacefully March 8, 2011.
Born in Mount Pleasant, Pa., he lived most of his adult life in Akron. He was self employed and retired from Paige Equipment Corporation. Ellis served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a gun instructor on the B29. He was a member of Broadman Baptist Church for 49 years where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.
Preceded in death by daughters, Lilly Katherine Overturf and Claudette Lee Solomon; survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Lillian; sons, Ellis Dawn, Jeffrey Ruth; daughters, Claudia James Carrell, Mary Beth Donald Lawson, Joan fiancé, William Brothers Solomon; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Fred, Charles Solomon; sisters, Laura Mae Shepler, Audrey Tirney.
Services will be held 11 am, Monday at Broadman Baptist Church, 350 East Bath Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, 44223 with Pastor Chris McComb officiating. Burial at Flatwoods Bowman Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday at the church. If desired, memorials may be made to the Broadman Baptist Church.
