Elna C. Stoner, 93, passed away October 28, 2010.
She was born in East Cleveland and had resided in Akron since 1959. A member of Christ United Methodist Church and the V.F.W., she was a World War II Army veteran and retired as an R.N. from Hillhaven Convalescent Home.
She is survived by her daughters, Judith Harris and Dorothy Mark VonGunten, both of Akron; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Axtell of Beech Grove, Indiana.
Services will be held 11 a.m. MONDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Benjamin J. Black III officiating. Interment with military rites by Copley American Legion/V.F.W. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home SUNDAY from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
