Eloise Marie Schill, 87, passed away December 27, 2014 at Concordia at Sumner.
Eloise, a lifelong Akronite, was born on April 1, 1927 to Willard J. and Gertrude (Miller) Schill. She graduated from Buchtel High and earned her BS from Ohio University in 1949. She worked at Firestone until her retirement in 1982 and then worked for the University of Akron for the next five years. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Eloise enjoyed travel and did so extensively in Europe and Asia.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill. She is survived by her special friend and traveling companion, Al Trent and by cousins, Herman Rockefeller, Queensland, Australia, Joan Killian- Fisk and Tim Killian, Akron.
A celebration of Eloise's life will be on Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Paul's Episcopal Chapel, 1361 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44313. Family will receive friends one hour before the 11:00 a.m. service. Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or to the Eloise Marie Schill Endowment for the College of Nursing c/o University of Akron Foundation, Akron, Ohio 44325-2603.
