Eloise M. Taylor, 89, died October 10, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born in Lookout, W. Va, she lived in the Akron area since 1952. Mrs. Taylor retired from the B.F. Goodrich Research Center in 1980 with 25 years service. After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering and helping others at the Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Rd., Fairlawn Lutheran Church making Braille Bibles and at various nursing homes. She loved yard sales, cooking, laughing, and playing games. Her infectious smile will be deeply missed by all.
Preceded in death by her husband, William M. Taylor in 1988 and four siblings, Lucille, Helen, Clarence and Russell, she is survived by her daughter, Brenda Dugan; son, Russell Taylor; grandchildren, Carolyn Raybuck (David), Greg Dugan, Julie Dugan, Patrick Dugan (Cathy) and Melissa Matthews (Michael); great-grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon Dugan, Christopher and Taylor Raybuck, Nicholas and Brionna Franchi, Mackenzie, Molly, Marley and Maren Dugan and one great-great-grandchild, Carter Mitchell.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Special Care Unit at Rockynol Assisted Living.
Service will be held 2 p.m. SATURDAY in the Myrna & Hugh Porter Chapel at Rockynol Retirement Community, 1150 W. Market St., with Rev. Diane Walker officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to service SATURDAY in the Chapel at Rockynol. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 70 W.
